Eat Stop Eat Review – My Results

Eat Stop Eat

Eat Stop EatI’m not sure I want to post my photo of before and after results just yet since starting Eat Stop Eat. I’m still “using” the Eat Stop Eat plan every week. Actually, I’m sure I’ll continue to use it forever, since it’s so easy to do. Maybe in the next few weeks I’ll post my before photo and where I am currently, without as many clothes on! For now though, let’s talk about what I experienced when I started using Eat Stop Eat.

When I decided to buy eat stop eat, I had been trying a few diets here and there, but couldn’t stick to any of them because they limited the amount of food I ate, or limited the kinds of food I like to eat. I think anybody can maintain any diet for a few days, but I don’t want to feel like I’m a prisoner eating the same food every day.

I also lifted weights and sometimes a cardio kickboxing class, but never really liked working out much anyway. One day my wife and I booked a beach vacation that was 3 months away. I really didn’t want to be at the weight I was at (about 210+ lbs) and be seen on the beach!

Anyway, long story short, I ran across Brad’s  Eat Stop Eat program and decide to give it a try since it was so different to everything I had used or learned in the past.

Fasting!?!

I have to admit that the word fasting had me a bit scared when I first ordered it. Fasting scared me.  I LOVE to eat, and wasn’t sure if I could maintain this program, like so many others I had quit in the past. Also, I had learned enough in my quest to lose weight, and I always thought the way to lose weight was to not skip meals, and eat small meals throughout the day?

That night, I tore through the manual and had my mind blown away! Literally everything that I thought I knew, was wrong. Brad showed the scientific research to back it all up, so that calmed my mind down a bit.

Here we go!

I jumped in with both feet, trusting the science, and didn’t look back. I decided to commit for the 30 days and see what happened. I also didn’t change my diet at all. I also worked out twice per week for about 30 minutes each time. After those first 30 days, I lost 13 pounds! While that may not seem like much, it was huge for me, because my main sticking point had always been food.

I kept going and began working out 4 times per week, losing close to 25 pounds in that 4 month period before my vacation. I was glad to be on the beach looking and feeling great!

Since then, I’ve changed my diet a bit, and slowly began working out more, and I can say I’m in the best shape of my life.

What can you expect with Eat Stop Eat?

I don’t want to give away too much of the overall plan, as that wouldn’t be fair to the author. Here’s what you can expect though.

  • Be able to eat just about anything you want and still lose weight
  • You’ll probably lose weight your first week – I think I lost about 4 pounds.
  • You won’t have to workout unless you want to, although the weight will come of much faster.
  • You won’t have to eat dry chicken breasts and spinach every day!
  • You’ll be able to easily maintain this plan for life! Seriously it’s super EASY
  • Your mind will be sharper
  • You’ll “feel” lighter – Hard to explain this one.
  • You’ll feel “cleaner” inside – Again hard to explain, but I felt cleaner!
  • Your digestion will improve
  • Oh, and you’ll lose weight! It would be almost impossible not to lose weight with Eat Stop Eat, it’s SCIENCE!

Eat Stop Eat Works For Men and Women

I’ve convinced my wife to begin using Eat Stop Eat too. She’s looking great after the first 30 days! I suspect that fitness enthusiasts and bodybuilders would gain quite a bit from this too. There is SO much scientific evidence in the book to back up the claims.

Try it out, maybe Eat Stop Eat is something that will work for you too!

Eat Stop Eat – Who is Brad Pilon?

Well, first, Brad is totally ripped…but you expected that right? Brad Pilon is the author of Eat Stop Eat. He wrote Eat Stop Eat while a graduate student at The University of Guelph, in Guelph Ontario, Canada.

Before beginning his graduate studies, Brad began working as a research analyst for a small startup supplement company in Toronto. During that time, Brad flew all around the world, met with the top scientists in the field of muscle building and fat loss, sponsored major scientific conferences, and even had dinner with Arnold Schwarzenegger!

After 6 years of meeting and researching with the best muscle building scientists and top level bodybuilders, Brad decided to go back to university for a graduate degree.

It was during this period of study that he developed eat stop eat, as he realized that he wanted to study the effects of short-term fasting. Many of you have heard in the past that “Stop eating and you stop weight loss” or “You can’t build muscle without 5-6 meals per day” etc…

Can’t Doubt the Science!

Well, during Brad’s six years as the head of Research and Development for one of the largest supplement companies in the WORLD, and his graduate studies thereafter, he has the hard SCIENCE to back debunk those claims we’ve all heard.

In fact, during Brad’s research he found that much of what he had been told regarding muscle building and fat loss as wrong, and the things he was told he shouldn’t be doing to lose fat, were in fact the things that he needed to be doing? How’s that for confusion?

What If?

What if you could eat what you want, but still lose weight? What if you can eat chocolate cake, candy, and soda pop? Do you think you could lose weight like that? Most of you have been told that you MUST remove that kind of junk food, to lose weight.

How about eating all the scary carbs you want? I’m sure in the past you’ve seen the low-carb fad diets out there insisting that in order to lose fat, you need to remove pasta, potatoes, etc… from your diet.

Ok, here’s one better. I sometimes usually once or twice per week, eat and HUGE bowl of ice cream just before I go to bed. I’m not sure why, but it’s one of my favorite things to eat. Now, anybody that knows anything about losing weight, knows that this is a huge No-No on many levels. I still lost weight!

While it sounds confusing and even a little hokey, in Eat Stop Eat, Brad Pilon will show you the scientific research needed to back up his claims.  In my next post, I’ll tell you my results using eat stop eat, and what you can expect yourself.

Fasting with Eat Stop Eat

So it’s no secret that Eat Stop Eat, is exactly what the title suggests. First you eat, then you stop, then you eat again. Now I’m not going to give away time intervals, or frequency of stopping your eating, because that wouldn’t be fair to Brad the author. What I will do here is explain a bit about the idea of fasting as a way to lose weight.

Fasting or Intermittent Fasting has been used for thousands of years. They did it biblical times as a way to ‘purify the spirit’. Fasting has now become popular as a way to lose weight. If you’ve read anything lately from the diet “gurus”, they suggest eating 6-8 small meals per day to increase metabolism. While this has been shown to work, it’s ridiculously difficult to manage, especially if you work full time or have a family.

Brad Pilon, the author of Eat Stop Eat, did tons of research as a graduate student obtaining a degree in nutrition. While a grad student he found that intermittent fasting  improved all sorts of beneficial hormones in your body, speeding up fat burning, without losing muscle! Ask any diet “guru” and they’ll tell you that’s impossible, but Brad has the scientific research to back it up!

When I found Eat Stop Eat, I couldn’t believe that not eating for certain periods of time would help me lose weight. I had been brainwashed too that I MUST eat 6 small meals a day to lose weight. If I missed a meal, it meant I was losing muscle and hurting my metabolism.

Speaking of metabolism, did you know that not eating for the certain periods of time in Eat Stop Eat, will actually increase your metabolism over time? I know, it sounds strange, but it works. Nothing that I’ve done before, actually works so well.

In my next post, I’ll explain my results, what I felt, weight lost, etc… with Eat Stop Eat
